Someone was just telling me this didn't happen so here's a reminder that in 2021, an unusually candid SFMTA admitted the reason they decided to scrap bus lanes for the 24 Divisadero was to preserve parking.

This bus stop is just about invisible.

-No flag sign
-No paint on pole
-Inexplicably 30ft back from the corner
-If a car was parked here, which for now is still legal, I wouldn’t have been able to see the pavement marking from the sidewalk

I would sit at this bench but how is the bus driver supposed to see me?
So now I'm standing in the street - in more danger than if the stop was at the corner with no bench or structure.
There's 2 of us waiting for just this bus - but the two drivers who parked here however long ago get the priority over all the transit riders.
