It’s one year since I came out on my old IG account, but nearly 2.5 years since I started GAHT (hrt)

I have very few concerns about being visible here, and so far I’ve had no negative interactions (apart from being harassed and followed by a creepy guy in Strasbourg but I don’t think that was because I am trans….)

Sending extra hugs to everyone who is affected by the tsunami of anti trans laws, media bs, and hate from politicians, to everyone who isn’t free and safe to be themselves, to everyone who’s egg hasn’t cracked yet. We will get through this. I promise

Early start this morning, then a 50 min walk to the endo klinik for 6 monthly blood checks and scans.

Two weeks today I’ll be on the table in a Barcelona hospital. I feeling so lucky that my egg cracked in Germany and I have access to the medical care I need to stay alive and at least partly sane

My skin is playing up, and the only thing I can think of is the series of cortisone shots and tablets that I had for my shoulder. Ugh

Discovering that you’re trans makes many things easier and some things much harder, but it can’t fix deep rooted trauma, mental health issues or ND challenges. For that you have to do the hard work. Having this new perspective though does bring fresh light to all of these things and gives me the hope to carry on.

Therapy this morning
Was really useful to dump my thoughts, especially about the weird convo I had with my mum who asked ‘are you keeping something from me?’ and I dodged the question, but yes, I am. There’s lots, because I’m not sure you’ll be able to understand my motivations, or why this or that is meaningful for me.
I don’t see any advantage to anyone for her/them to know about upcoming surgeries, but I would like them to know about the joy being me brings, and the pain I feel when my siblings are being attacked or worse.

The cortisone injections in my shoulder weren’t working so now I’m on tablets instead. Fingers crossed that they help. I keep forgetting how much pain there is if I move my arm in the wrong direction; yesterday trying to swat a moth…… nearly threw up 🤮😭
