Anyway I’m pretty sure the persistent feminization of #transmasculinity at this point is less to do with a previously “female” identity assignment or “socialization” and rather the persistent medicalization/disability/psychiatrizarion of #transmascs both before and after transition regardless of whether one seeks transition at all.

Womanhood is a medicalized state and that this persists into manhood for transmascs with no period of youthful, masculine ‘wellness’ absolutely marks us.

One day I will write a thread on how historically and in the present day #transgender men have been coerced to “take” a woman/women as “their” women as a precondition for being recognized as men and how over time who this woman/women are supposed to be has changed, and how this classification has historically harmed #transmascs because the majority of us persistently refusing to do so has led to us not being recognized and therefore undeserving of help even when it would otherwise be available.
