The Netherlands crowned its first #transgender #MissNetherlands winner, Rikkie Valerie Kollé, year.

About a week later, Patrizia Mirigliani, the official organizer of #MissItaly said that Miss Italy wouldn’t allow #TransWomen to compete. Only people who were assigned female at birth are allowed to enter.

Result: #TransMen have heard this call for participants who were assigned female at birth, and more than 100 have entered the Miss Italy pageant by now.

I cannot stress enough that estrogen cream was a quick and easy fix for vaginal atrophy, and it has had no downsides beyond inconvenience. FAR less inconvenient than atrophy symptoms!

I feel like our doctors treat atrophy like it's inevitable or something, but for me and many other people I've spoken to, it's been easily treatable. We shouldn't have to suffer because of incompetent healthcare.

It's a modern-day "curse of Eve" kind of nonsense that assumes trans people should withstand pain for the sake of transitioning.

I really wish that women and femmes would stop trying to manufacture #queer solidarity by arbitrarily separating #TransMen from cis men, by insisting that we are altogether different and that those differences are what make us commendable. I've seen it implied that our bodies, or even our T, have some magical property that make them inherently more worthy of queer respect. But could you imagine a queer movement that depended on separating cis and trans women?

I know it's become very popular in the wider #trans community to decry this perceived problem, but just to wave a small flag for a sub-voice that seems barely heard lately... for some #Transwomen & #Transmen, merely having altered paperwork is vastly insufficient. It is a mandatory but of itself insufficient goal, & for those of us in this cohort, nothing short of full #Transition socially, legally, endocrinologically, & surgically will suffice to end the #GenderDysphoria & achieve fulsomeness. Given the availability & cost of this path is horrific & frequently prohibitive, IMO "true" #TransAllyship entails not only supporting the paperwork changes, but all the rest i described. Many don't need it all, but that should not invalidate those who do.

I would love to see more #trans people coming up with ways to support our brothers and masc enbies who are T-dependent. There's a lot out there about DIYing estrogen, but I see little to nothing about how to keep us safe when shortages hit and politicians make access illegal!
