First #TransPennineExpress service of the day from Yarm cancelled again this morning. Mondays and Thursdays regularly chopped ‘due to a short-notice change to the timetable’ 🙄

I live right next to the viaduct in Yarm, which carries Transpennine Express services between Middlesbrough and York, etc The first service (to Manchester Airport) passes my bedroom window at 6:32, forming the 6:35 service from Yarm. Nowadays it’s routinely cancelled, with the reason that this is due ‘to a short-notice change to the timetable’ Absolute nonsense of course! #TXP #TranspennineExpress

The Office of Rail and Road is right to call on rail providers to end the non-emergency use of P-code cancellations - it causes chaos for commuters and is hiding the true number of cancellations. If it was just rest day working issues all providers would be as bad as each other.

Managed to win an auction for a first class upgrade for the first time! However, it is for #TransPennineExpress so we'll see if it was worth it.

#transpennineexpress husband had to get out of bed at 11pm & drive from York to Leeds to collect son who was stuck there after a concert; he got to Leeds station to find all trains cancelled & replaced by bus. He'd' ve got home at 4am. Can't get a refund.

I don’t ask much. I don’t want to leave the glorious NW of England very often. I’ve tried to go to London by train all of twice this year. In August I got as far as Sheffield from Manchester and had to turnaround. Thanks #AvantiWestCoast, let’s hope it wasn’t my mums last birthday that I missed. Today #TransPennineExpress have got us as far as…Stockport. This country’s rail provision is broken. #nationalise now. ☹️🤬☹️🤬
