Je dirais que 99% des gens qu'on accuse d'être des tenant-e-s de «l'idéologie du genre» ne réduisent pas les femmes et les hommes à un ensemble de stéréotypes. Au contraire, on veut détruire ces stéréotypes à tout prix.

Pour que tout le monde puisse s'habiller, s'exprimer comme iels l'entendent sans avoir à faire face à de la discrimination. C'est partout sur nos affiches, dans nos textes, dans nos oeuvres d'art. Pas besoin d'aller chercher bien loin. Un exemple (image 2 ⬇️- crédits: Sophie Labelle )

Faut être malhonnête en estie pour nous accuser de propager ces stéréotypes. En ce qui concerne le fait «qu'évacuer la biologie» conduit les jeunes filles à s'identifier comme des garçons: c'est une théorie bizarre et absolument pas documentée rigoureusement.

C'est sans doute une référence à la «rapid-onset gender dysphoria» et rappelle un peu la théorie du complot que Sirois a défendue et selon laquelle l'acceptation des personnes trans était liée à un désir de «Big Pharma» de vendre plus d'hormones. Ça sort d'un chapeau.

Maintenant, on se demande pourquoi La Presse tient tant, depuis des années d'ailleurs, à propager des mensonges transphobes. En 2014, c'était Lysianne Gagnon; maintenant c'est une conspirationniste délirante. Ça s'est franchement dégradé en fait. C'est pas du débat ou de la diversité d'opinion, c'est rien de moins que de la désinformation.

Je me demande finalement si l'article de Michèle Sirois n'est pas connecté, d'une manière ou d'une autre, à l'attentat de #Waterloo et à l'article de Martine Delvaux qui le dénonçait, et qui a été également publié par La Presse.

The problem with the things #DaveChappelle and #RickyGervais say isn't that they are making jokes about #transgender issues, it's that what they are saying isn't a joke: they are asserting a belief real misinformation, actively muddying the issues, undermining efforts at Good Faith discussion. If they were joking around, it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's not a joke to outright state your #Transphobe #misinformation, especially when no further elaboration is added.

Reminder that #TERF is a misnomer: there can be no such thing as a "trans exclusionary #feminist", because #feminism by nature cannot exclude any expression of #gender or lack thereof.

The more accurate acronym is #FART: "Feminism Appropriating #Ractionary #Transphobe", because in reality, these are not #feminists, but transphobes appropriating feminism.

1) Overrode #Twitter moderration to spread a #transphobic propaganda film ("What is a Woman?"). He knows it's considered transphobic, but posts it anyway
2) Pissed off his #trans daughter so much she changed her first AND last name
3) Demanded long prison times for what is essentially healthcare for trans kids
