A brief synopsis (which might become a 🧵): We wanted to systematically check every possible aspect of transporter genes (the #transportome), and since there is no (to our knowledge) comprehensive dB on the topic, we've made one. We then use it to make gene lists to check with gsea against gene expression of all cancers covered in the TCGA -

It's a bit unfinished but it's by design! We want and need #feedback from #bioinformatics and #physiology people to move forward. I've tried to follow #openscience principles, so the pipeline is completely autonomous, containerized and the code for the paper is there, included in the repos!

I mainly work in #genomics and #transcriptomics. My project involves the study of the #cancer #transportome, and its role in the overall #cellbiology.
