A weird disconnect to watch the newest episode of Quantum Leap on the Citytv app, with beautiful portrayals of several trans storylines and characters all played by trans performers, but to have in every commercial break ads for the new Hogwarts Legacy video game. Still kudos to the entire team both in front of and behind the camera for this wonderful story that took me right back to classic Quantum Leap episodes that tackled timely topics in a sensitive and heartfelt way. #TransRepresentation 🏳️‍⚧️

Using the Drops language app today for Norwegian, and it's thrown up this as a test: Is "Juridisk kjønn" the correct term to match the picture. The answer is no. The word for shark is "Hai". But "Juridisk kjønn" is the equivalent term in Norsk Bokmål for "legal gender". Absolutely beautiful combination randomly thrown together by the app

THIS. I still don't think I've ever seen media representation of someone like me who didn't even realise they liked people other than "the opposite sex" until they were 17, and didn't realise (bc biphobia) that that meant I were allowed to call myself bi/queer until I was in my 30s, and then had to deal with "feeling behind" people who were half my age. I wanna see adult queers with imposter syndrome in the media. I wanna see people who only worked it out later in life due to comphet. People (again like me) who lived as cis for 30 years before something clicked and they went "HANG on." All these people. There are so many of us and half the reason there's so many of us is that we never see anyone else like us.
