One of my many constant thoughts about where I want to go with my life is how selfish I will look in outward perception.
Not being married. Having multiple casual partners. Not wanting children. Having maybe at best a few dogs or cats. Not being in contact with my family. Having more than one closet for myself.
And then I think about where I’ve seen that life portrayed in popular culture. It’s the outward perception of the Tab Hunters and Jim Nabors of history.

The way I know I’m a man is that I have been living my life in a way that I can ‘one-up’ my father. Such as:
- going into a similar field to his
- getting a higher certification in excel
- aiming for a business PhD
—> when he has an MBA
- being able to play more instruments than him
- and having my creative works published in more magazines than him

I’m sometimes incredibly petty about my accomplishments but only in the context of my father.

Well I've had a rough few months but my hormone levels are getting sorted out. My injection schedule is now probably fixed and I just started progesterone a few days ago.I'm feeling much better!

And you can tell I'm feeling better because I finally took some selfies I want to share.

Sometimes I forget I’m trans. As in I’m not a naturally born man or amab or whatever. I was born intersex so I’ve never been too clear on my sex.
But I do have my period, sometimes, and I often forget that I have a period to worry about.
Up until I feel like death for a few days and the moment I start to bleed through my boxer shorts.
Then I’m reminded of all that I am. Trans. Queer. Disabled. Smart. Bitchy.

I wasn't formally training beyond grade-school English classes and Art Appreciation in college. Most skills I've picked up are from old books, writing forums, and daily observations.

Getting electrolysis on my beard has made me realize that I have a LONG way to go to reach my goal. In an hour session I was able to have 3 nickel sized areas of beard removed. Around the lips is pretty painful, even with a high pain tolerance. Good thing for cannabis! I may have freaked out if I didn’t have that to help. I just have to keep thinking about how I won’t have a beard shadow anymore!!! Can not wait!!! #transstuff #transjoy
