I think everyone should know who Jennie Alexander was. A trans woman who came out at 77, Jennie was instrumental in revitalizing greenwoodworking as a craft (she coined the term greenwoodworking). She spent her life perfecting the 2 slat post and rung chair shown below. These chairs are known affectionately as Jennies. I'm excited to be making one later this spring. I consider her a spiritual ancestor and wish I could have met her.
