Starfield first take -
No mans sky, with a better combat system, cluttered UI.

The content in itself is fine, should be fun for a while.

However, I am taken aback by how graphically AWFUL it looks. Lighting, atmospherics, reflections feel like a ten year old game.
The faces a horribly rendered. Looks like Oblivion almost.

Definitely overhyped. In its current 'look', I'd be dubious to recommend..

Watching The Wiz with the family, and just had a delightful realization. The scene that scared the crap out of me in the kid--the one with the #trash cans and wobbly #puppets--was in the subway.

But I didn't know what a subway was when I saw the movie in the 80s. I had no context. Until just a few minutes ago I thought the scene took place in a parking deck, something I *DID* understand.

I was coming home from picking up the kid from school and I could see the sparkle in the neighbors' eyes as they hurriedly crossed the street to the pile of bags left in the #trash.

#Tents in #SF take up less of sidewalk than #trash piles in #NYC and are more attractive.

Though high-income countries only account for 16% of the world’s population, they generate about 34% of the world’s waste each year. A third of all 3food produced is wasted and ends up in the garbage can. 3Plastic waste is another mounting issue: Across the globe, #less than 10% of it is #recycled, according to the most recent data from 2018 published by the #Organization for #Economic #Cooperation and #Development. Plastic waste has more than doubled globally since 2000.
