Garden views. In the corner of my view something jumps across the pebbles. I am leaning forward in my rotan chair. The terrace is shaded, set amongst towering tropical plants, hidden away. The little creature moves again, scuttling towards the cover of leaves. It is a green-and-black poison dart frog.

My memories of Puno in Peru on the shore of Lake Titicaca, is that it felt like it's been a lesser used transfer point for various budget inter-planetary/inter-galactic "bus routes" for centuries if not millennia ... Mos Eisley in the Andes.

The food places scattered around the "spaceport" are interesting. All sorts of food seems to have been put together to meet a non-local's request without the cook ever having seen or tasted the original item.
