We've just got home after a really good #afternoon with our daughter.
She cooked splendid fajitas for lunch followed by home made fruit cobbler with ice cream.
We all walked to her local park where a band was playing at the bandstand.
It was a truly relaxing afternoon.

We had a good time in #Ely the last couple of days - the weather was dry, but the wind was bitter on Tuesday.
This is a #sketch of the #cathedral from the side. We couldn't justify the cost of the entry fee to go inside.
Ely has as much character as #York, but without the crowds.

Very pleasant sitting in Trafalgar Square in the sun- it soon got chilly, so we walked back through Horse Guards.
The bar is full, so we'll have a warming cuppa in our room.

This was a speedy painting of a church in the centre of Athens. I sat on the pavement, tried not to get in anyone's way and blocked in the watercolour first. It dried quickly in the heat and then I added the linework in watered down fountain pen ink. Still one of my favourite spontaneous sketches and a nice memory of a great holiday travelling around Greece.
