Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is the world's largest model railway system. Paste magazine's Clare Martin paid a visit to the 22-year-old attraction, which has 16,491 meters of railroad tracks, 1,166 trains, and 289,410 figurines.

Today is the 11th anniversary of the beginning of our #SplitHappens adventure, but also happens to be the anniversary our first trip to Split in 2010, the year we retired. We decided to take a ferry there for the weekend because we could. We fell in love with the energy and the ease of traveling in Croatia. #TravelTuesday

Here's an unusual view of the #Florida #Citrus #Tower, in #Clermont, not too far from Orlando.

Opened in 1956, it stands 226 feet tall. When my family used to visit it, in the mid to late 60's, it was surrounded by nothing but orange groves as far as the eye could see. Now it's surrounded by suburbs full of cookie-cutter houses. Back then, naturally, it didn't double as a cell phone tower, either.

Unlike so many other roadside attractions in Florida that have been killed by Disney, Universal, and the like, the Citrus Tower is still hanging on by its fingernails. A remnant of an older Florida that still exists in out of the way corners of the state.

It's #TravelTuesday! Today let's head to Castelo Branco in Central #Portugal. I love living and working in different places b/c it provides the opportunity to explore out of the way places, we never would have visited otherwise.

Castelo Branco is <3 hour drive from Lisbon and features spectacular gardens, cool museums, and is a great home base for exploring the region including hilltop Monsanto.
