It explores Hull's fishing industry with portraits and stories of people involved in the fishing industry during the 1970s, whichever marked the demise of deep sea fishing from Hull.
The exhibition is the work of a small group of photographers called The People and is at the Independent Photography Gallery in the Prospect Centre throughout July and August.

I’ve spent many weekends of the last year on a prawn creek boat off the #isleofskye in #Scotland working with traditional fishermen to share what is possibly the final few years of an ecosystem. Scottish sea-life has been utterly destroyed by #trawling over the last 50 years. Increased boat sizes, governments stripping away natural protections, and a monopoly of greed has put our #ecology on sale without a care for life, community or our #future. #environment #climatecrisis
