NGL I bought myself a half pound treat of that #organic SL28 #coffee light/medium roast, with the tasting notes of plum, nougat, stone fruits, bergamot (that's what sold me) and green tea. I can't say that it tastes like any of those things, bc everybody knows I'm a peasant, but it's really really good and I haven't had REALLY good #coffee in literally years.

Lake Champlain Chocolates has begun offering frozen hot chocolate. I was curious to try it, so I swung by this morning to get some. Of course, while I was there I also "had" to get some of their dark chocolate peanut butter cups.

The cold hot chocolate is very good. It's rich but not overly sweet.

Sometimes little things really do improve your quality of life. I've been dealing with old, warped, brittle, cheap-ass hangers in my closet forever, but it never seemed "worth it" to replace them.

I'm moving, and I did a MASSIVE closet purge, and then treated myself to some inexpensive velvet hangers?

For what was $40, I have no idea why I waited so long. What an ENORMOUS difference.

1. I’m caring for #NotMyCat Penny this week. She purred in my ear this morning. Science says a cat's purr can calm the nervous system & lower blood pressure.

2. I stopped by the neighborhood French bakery—Le French Tart on 5th Ave—for a #TreatYoSelf splurge. I got a mini quiche Lorraine, a pain au chocolat (which was so fresh the chocolate was melty) & a baguette. #Brooklyn

3. I’m beginning to plan a trip to #DoorCounty #Wisconsin, which is a favorite destination for my family.

I got a little treat for myself. If you are able to, I recommend you do, too. No matter how small it is, go get something that brings you joy today. Life is short, and often hard. Joy helps.

Dug my over-ear cans 🎧 (a pair of Oppo OM-3 closed-back headphones) out of my desk for the first time in… I don’t even know how long, and I really need to keep these close at hand. Just a real joy to listen with, and simpler, cleaner, and more balanced/flat response than the AirPods Pro that are now my daily drivers.
