#NowPlaying a gorgeously heavy album by Sun Blood Stories, one of the great bands to emerge from the #boise music scene in the last decade or so. For many years their sets were an essential part of the #treefort festival. They've gone quiet since relocating to Portland; I'm holding out hope for a return to form one of these days.

#Treefort2023 did a number on Julia Davis Park's turf given the inclement weather. Nonetheless 12% of the alcohol sales go to the city parks, the festival had an approximately $8M impact on the city, with sales tax alone being some ~$500K. In a short survey I was asked what could be done to improve #Treefort. Free beer. Also, edibles.

Speaking of #music this is one of my favorite acts from #Treefort last week: Eleven and his DJ Jason D. If you like old-school #hiphop I have the boom bap for you. This track has a lot of Gang Starr DNA and was awesome live. #rap

@CherylBlueWave Yeah, it was pretty fantastic. I felt honored to meet so many great artists the past few days. #treefort is a great festival and draws a lot of great acts from all around the world, plus it’s a real bargain for all the music (and so much more) you get to see.

I've been going to #Treefort Music Fest every year since moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2013. This visit was super short due to family and work obligations, but it was still great to wrap up the event with a wonderful set from #RoseCityBand under a crescent moon. The night was bitterly cold but Ripley and Co still managed to conjure some fire 🔥

Arrived at #Treefort in Boise and found three #GratefulDead grails within about 15 minutes.
