@alexl Obsidian‘s canvas spec isn‘t capable of supporting free drawings with vector elements, so bluntly - I‘m not considering it here.

For the database case, I think those are legit interests and should be transferable. My main observation derives from Personal Information Systems like #TreeLine or #omnioutliner, which support the more data-rich storage of entities. Those *have* a use-case and shouldn‘t be ignored entirely - and sometimes a purposeful JSON is probably better.
