Good morning everyone! There's snow in the Northwest of Ireland today, that's a rare thing over here. And this is "my" beautiful cypress which I've told you about on Sunday (made a little study of some of its parts which I found on the ground). I was a bit confused because the Cypresses in Ireland can be so massive!

Tried a little study with my Gouache (Xmas present) of some pieces of the Cypress which grows on the land where I work. A massive, tall and beautiful tree with a thick trunk that gives everyone a fantastic rain shelter. Never knew that Cypress trees can become that big. In my mind they were the tall, slim ones from the alleys in Tuscany. This one seems to be the Irish version... (Remember me to send a photography on #thicktrunktuesday!)
