@WalterMenteth In addition why is there no discussion of using #Balfron and #Trellick and other oblong blocks with detached service towers as the model? Square blocks where the stairs are adjacent to potentially hot walls will always be a risk. Lastly why no mention of dry risers? Are they no longer mandatory? They limit the hoses necessary in a tower fire by providing the infrastructure in place.

@WalterMenteth If a single staircase is in a separate but adjoining tower as at #Balfron #Trellick and all the London scissor blocks you don't need a second staircase. It's about the design of the tower IMO.
