Listen. Just for those Apple app authors crowing about how exciting #iOS17 is and how they’re starting to code for that. Even #iOS16. Just understand that iPad Air 2’s, and god knows how many other “legacy” devices that actually still work perfectly fine, CANNOT be updated beyond 15.7.8. I have my Air 2 open and on a stand with #Trello right now, and THANKFULLY #MonaApp also still runs on it as do many of the other apps I use. But please, PLEASE - especially if your app just does text or checkboxes or notifications, right - because you’ve been able to manipulate that stuff since iOS1 or so - PLEASE don’t make your app depend on minimum iOS16 or 17. Mona didn’t. Follow their lead.

People on older devices don’t give a toss “what percentage of Apple users as a whole are using iOSx”. Believe it. The Air2 works fine, as does my iPhone13 Pro on 15.4.1.

Any suggestions about a power up for #Trello that allows you to group cards inside a list? Something like adding a card to a checklist, but that item gets checked once the card's due date is completed / card is moved to another list?

When on a computer I oftentimes find myself falling back to a simple text editor (#Notepad++ on Windows), but I eventually end up moving this data into another system.

I've used a large a variety of task management apps (e.g. #Asana, #Trello, #TickTick, #Microsoft #ToDo, #Toodledo, #Google #Tasks) but always find them constraining.

The application that perhaps best captured my needs is Mark Joyner's #Simpleology but it isn't perfect, pretty expensive, etc.

Had not used #trello much lately and the integration of Atlassian editor is pretty bad.

An example: UX for links with custom text is awful: back and forth mouse/keyboard needed, overlay that does not disappear, submitting does nothing...😕

Instead of throwing whatever catches my attention into my #readitlater app, I’ll first put them on a #Trello board (think a #kanban styled board) & pick out the things that make think “hell yes!” This way I won’t bloat my RIT with things I won’t really read.

#Obsidian is interesting. I'm kinda grumpy that it only works with its own Sync on iOS, but I guess it's not a big deal since Sync is $100/yr or $10/mo.

The #Kanban plugin... Leaves something to be desired though, in my opinion.

Although, now that I'm thinking about it, #Trello's kanban is also less than ideal, because I'd like epics and priorities on my tasks, and Trello doesn't do either without plugins.

adding a "Power Up" isn't an option in my use case and they don't have a reasonable API for users so ... screen scraping, but calling the url of a "card" with your cookie doesn't actually get you the content of the card. ARGH

I can figure this out, but i'd rather not reinvent the wheel if i don't have to.

#Trello alternatives. I've found [#TimecampPlanner](https://planner.timecamp.com), which is rather more like a fully-developed PM tool.
* It seems cheap-ish, less than USD4 pm per seat.
* It integrates with external calendars cleanly and well, using ICS links.
* Trello board -> Timecamp Planner project.
* The 'main app' is Timecamp itself, which seems to be a way for freelancers to track time. I don't need that right now, but it looks interesting.

Look, I want #Trello *and* I want #iCal type shareable calendars, and I want them to work together. So if I create a date-timed card in a Trello-type app, I can publish it on iCal and integrate it into work Outlook, share to buddies, etc. Vice-versa: some app that looks like a calendar that, if I create an entry, it becomes a card in a Trello-type app.

But Trello has gone sideways since Atlassian took over. That's not possible any more.

Any suggestions?

Fun fact: I manage my #VTuber activities, Ko-Fi commissions, #booth_pm shop, and public #Discord server using #Trello. It's been my favorite organizational tool to date! 📋

Enabled the "Card Aging" power-up in one of our Trello boards. It's a visual cue that shows which cards are already past their due date. Surprise! Most of the cards in said board have already aged. *sniggers*
