And now for Monday's #megafauna: the #Tyrannosaurus Rex! 40 ft long and weighing 18,000 lbs, the #T-Rex lived 67-65 mya. With the strongest bite force of any animal ever--at 12,814 lbs--the King of Dinosaurs lived up to its name.

T-Rex stood horizontally and could run up to 25 mph. It may also have had #feathers, as other Tyrannosaur species have been found with #protofeathers. The most complete T-Rex #skeleton specimen may have died due to #trichomoniasis, which still affects modern birds.
