29/04/2023 - Evening walk to Bennachie. Started at Donview, quiet road walk to My Lord's Throat then up the hill to Black Hill trig. Tea at Hermit Seat. A plod to Oxen Craig and then the Gordon Way down to start the climb to Millstone Hill. Dark by the time we got there. The walk from here back to the start is short but a lot of down, knees were feeling it by the end. A really nice walk, we saw no one on the hills. Cloudy so no stars but dry. Back home round midnight.

There’s probably a designated day for posting pictures of trig points, but I’m not sure what it is. Anyway, here’s the trig point on top of Shillhope Law, looking splendid in the April sunshine today. I’ve been up there many times before, but never made the small detour to the trig point, which was remiss of me.

Trying to remember if I include trigs I've visited in Ireland in my total trig count! Different network to OSGB I know but I think I will. Just got to remember how many I've been to now, it's not that many. Wish it was more.

Same with Tumps (hills with at least 30 metres drop on all sides). Though I don't think anyone's got round to making a list of Irish Tumps yet?

A snow covered Wolstonbury Hill for #HillfortsWednesday. #BronzeAge Ram's Hill type enclosure with unusual feature of an internal boundary ditch. Enclosure potmarked with C18th flint digging, but evidence of Iron Age, Roman & Saxon activity has been noted. #HeritageHound had a quick survey of the site from the #OrdnanceSurvey #TrigPoint.

This is the trig point on the Isle of #Texa. An uninhabited island near #Islay #Scotland. We had to hire a boat to take us and also a guide to help us find the #TrigPoint trekking across the high bracken on the island where wild goats live. A fab day in September. #Hiking #Exploring #TrigBagging

The ever changing faces of Roseberry trig. point

It was given a fresh coat of paint in July if I recall.
The stencils appeared soon after the Queen's death and were left, out of respect.
But graffiti artists do not show the same respect.
So, weather permitting, the trig. point will be getting spruced up.
