#trilium if you have a desktop to run the database locally on a computer you can connect to it from your browser and install a PWA like Lemmy/Mastodon/Duolingo that pings your desktop instead of a corporate owned note db - or you can have it hosted somewhere

Pretty impressed with #trilium. Its like logseq, but self-hosted. I think a single developer, so questions around longevity, but its very easy to import/export data. No mobile app, but the sync server produces a web interface too. #productivity #logseq

Using #Trilium (very very powerful note taking app) for more and more things and god this app is amazing.

I barely used to write anything down before this but now I feel like I can just dump my MIND into it.

A friend recommended me #trilium to start a journal. This app looks really cool for storing notes. UI could use some work but it's usable enough.

Looking for good Notion alternatives.

I've been using Notion for the past 2 years and, honestly, I love it. But this year they dropped their maximum allowed blocks to 1000, meaning I'm now waaaaaay over the limit of the free tier and they want to charge a ridiculous amount for the base.

I'm looking into Trilium, and wanting to self host it. (Although there's a fairly affordable option at https://trilium.cc)

For the Trilium users- what's your favourite part of it, and would you say $26/y is worth it? Or is self hosting a better option?

I'm open to any other FOSS system, I want to be in controll of my data, my notes and files. I need access to it from any device (so Web service). I made extensive use of Notion's database feature. Does Trilium offer a similar solution?

Well fuck me, I just found the best notetaking app ever:
"Trilium"

Supports markdown, folders, links and images. I could keep going. Super impressed by this app!
I'm on Linux Mint, but I believe they have a Windows and Mac release as well.

Ich hatte die Tage #Trilium in der Mache. Schimpft sich eine Journal- und Notiz-Anwendung. Der Eindruck war recht passabel. Jedoch hatte ich total übersehen, dass es auf Electron setzt. Und da das hier nicht willkommen ist, flog das Programm wieder vom System.

Jetzt erhält #zim noch mal seine Chance.
