For #WorldTheatreDay the #Trimontium amphitheatre, perhaps the most northerly amphitheatre found to date in the #RomanEmpire. Numerous hobnails were found from the boots of soldiers perhaps lost as they cheered their champions. Estimates suggest it could hold up to 2,000 people.

Spent quite a bit of time during the last 2 days inventorying medals and updating their locations in Axiell. All I can see is numbers every time I close my eyes! However, I got some light relief when my son showed me his playmobil set up of the Romans invading Britain (he's doing the Romans at school) Need to get him over to #Trimontium !
