Most of the #ancient magical #gems do not tell us about their purpose, but this gem was a protective #amulet as we know from the inscription: Phylaxon (φυλαξον) "Protect!"

Unusual: While #Hekate Trimorph is depicted, Iaô Sabaôth are called upon for protection.
