We got to just fine and it’s shockingly , at least in this part of town. Went to a local grocery and it was wonderful.

One of the worst things about for a living is that so often you can’t take things with you. They had beautiful loaves of and awesome and interesting and …but we are only here for two days 🥺

Authentic, handmade mushroom and potato pierogi with sour cream and a cup of borscht on the side, from Eva’s European Sweets in Syracuse.

When I tell you this was MAGICAL. The pierogi were chewy and savory, peppery and so flavorful. You can see (and taste!) that the filling is hand-prepared.

And the borscht, creamy and tart, refreshing and served piping hot!

If I lived in Syracuse I’d try everything on the menu. SO GOOD. 💕
