When returning to #Tromsø from a daytrip to Kvaløyvågen the bus met two reindeer. Apparently this must be a favourite spot for them as some previous car had had to brake hard.

May 3rd in Straumsbukta with our guide Inga. We drove up a road built by our guide's grandfather and great-uncles, and walked across the field where the grass should be green and growing, but the stubborn winter has halted spring. Down by the ocean, however, the sun peaks out, and the warmth takes us nearly by surprise as we gently traverse a quiet soundscape. A crowing rooster and singing gulls our steady companions.

The last day of vacation often means killing some time before leaving. And so we took the tour of the #Mack "most northern brewery" in #Tromso #Norway

Besides an interesting story about the strict Norwegian rules about alcohol, we could also visit the "microbrewery" that is dedicated to brewing very special beers. And because it's so special, the locals hold a contest to name these special beers after their favorite musicians

And so it happens that #PattiSmith now has her own #beer 🍻

In the end, it turned out to be extremely easy to find a nice #running route in #Tromsø. Together with my oldest son we just followed the coastline for a while, then ran up a small nearby hill with lake #Prestvannet on top and then down into town and back to our hotel. No #trailRunning, but still very nice 9km 😀

And all this at about 20°C, while the rest of much of Europe is suffering from a bad heatwave with temperatures above 40°C.

A question for my fellow runners: I will be staying in #Tromso #Norway for a few days and would like to run some nice, not too difficult trail runs of about 10km in the area that are easy to reach either by foot or by bus.
