I'm currently having problems with Cryptomator. I use a Linux Mint distro and I can't mount a vault. It's giving me an error that has something to do with "Fuse failing". Changed the file system to WebDAV, but the thing shows up blank when I enter the URL. Fortunately, the vault opens using Windows on a seperate machine, and immediately did a backup to prevent data loss.

ok it isn't the #iCloud content cache service screwing with me, it's something about me being logged in on my creative workstation that causes #Messages to be unreliable. my kid got those messages, their mother also got some and react-ed to one my #iPhone says weren't delivered.

sometimes when i facetime my partner my dev phone gets an incoming facetime call from her even though i am already in a facetime call with her. it's driving me bonkers.

I am incredibly stressed out since it has been two weeks now and I keep having trouble with my new #ThinkPad #X1 Carbon Gen 10.

I made the impulsive and definitely wrong decision of immediately removing #Windows and installing only @vanillaos.

There are several problems, that I cannot figure out if they are there because of #Linux #compatibility limits and absent #drivers, or rather if it is an hardware problem.

Above all, the webcam is not recognized. Like it does not even show up in /dev

Furthermore, the 2.8K screen has the PERFECT resolution for a 14" laptop, but it is OLED and it looks TERRIBLE. I hope it is only a calibration problem, but, again, I do not know how to test it…

Since #VanillaOS still has an outdated Linux #kernel, I installed #Manjaro, but upon opening #Cheese I always get “no device found”.

To increase my stress, my request to subscribe to linux.org got rejected since I signed up using a #VPN. I am losing it 😭

Please convince me not to get back to my #MacBook. I thought ThinkPads were the most Linux-ready devices!

What's happening to my apple tree here? Its a Macoun. Its one of our healthiest trees. I noticed this started happening a little bit a couple years ago but now that the trunk is bigger its getting worse. Unsure if this is even a problem. None of my other trees, including my other Macoun do this.

#mastoadmin 's - our instance has sporadic profile pictures/avatars missing - and some show up. It has persisted for several days. I've tried several options - to include the #tootctl mark-media-missing command - with no success. Wondering if its a cache issue and they will reappear in a few days - but wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing the same? It's not limited to avatars, it also includes sporadic missing headers.

Okay buckle up for a decidedly #tech post, my predominantly techpolicy friends - I have been pulling my hair out silently trying to #troubleshoot a bizarre problem on my primary Windows machine for *months* - to no avail. At odd moments the entire machine drags to a halt, freezes up, even *beeps* at me. With 32gb of RAM a decently new CPU and a less-than-two-generations old GPU, I'm flummoxed and increasingly thinking hw. Overheating? Nope. Shorts? Dead sticks? Drivers? Nope.

If anyone has any experience with #btrfs subvolumes and #fedora please let me know!

I currently only have one root mount path for my primary partition, and I'd like to split /home into a separate subvolume.

I have gotten as far as setting up @ (pointing to /) and @home subvolumes, copying /home/* to /@home

I edit /@/etc/fstub (point / to @ and create new for /home pointing to @home) and run grub2-mkconfig and dracut to regenerate initram, but it doesn't boot up.
