I've been having this issue with my : every day or so the display outputs stop working. When I restart, it's in low-res. My is "disabled" in Device Manager. If I uninstall the and restart to let it reinstall, it goes back into high-res, but only for a day or so until it happens again. I've tried installing AMD Adrenaline Software, but it's the same. I suppose I need to get into the Event Viewer and see if there are any error messages..

I think I've run into a small issue with Davinci Resolve that's kind of bugging me.
The KColorPicker that it comes with *used* to save my custom colors, which you can see that are already pinned. But if I try pinning any new colors to the picker, they disappear when I restart it and it goes back to my previous palette.

Any guesses as to why this would happen? I know it worked before, how else would I have these colors saved?

„The reason we report bugs is not to document or catalog anything that is wrong with the software, it’s to improve it. Bug reports which don’t lead to successful bug fixes prevent developers from quickly identifying bug reports which do.“

So, it's been a fun-and-games with hardware sort of afternoon. After extracting an old and unused PCI sound card from my old desktop… it seems to be relatively stable.

I turned my attention to the "current" desktop… which is a machine that I bought back in 2018 to sit on my desk at work.

8-core AMD Ryzen 7 1700
32GB DDR4 (was 16GB when I bought it)

I had a 7mm Pioneer Bluray drive I bought originally for this laptop (Panasonic CF-53) until I learned this laptop really wants a 12mm drive. So I bought this 5.25" drive enclosure to put it in, the enclosure also incorporates a 2.5" SATA drive slot and 2 front USB-3 ports.

Finally got to installing it today. Powered off, pulled the case off, removed the old drive… put the new enclosure in, rig up the cables.

All good, put it all together… try ejecting the tray. No dice. LED blinks, and there's a click, but clearly the tray is wedged. So that'll be a next-week-end job, pull the machine apart again to figure out how to re-position this drive so it can eject.

BUT, glass half full: I have two new front-side USB3 ports and a 2.5" drive slot that all work. I'll just use an external drive until I can be arsed fixing it.
