#Trove is doing maintenance this weekend, so edits, notes, and tags won’t stick. Since editing and using #TroveAustralia is one of my main form of relaxation, I’ll miss it! Still, it gives me a chance to catch up on my #FamilyHistory notes and check what I need to research next.

Arvo, Toots! Had a Skype with my #MentalHealth nurse today, and now I’m waiting for partner to come home with groceries.

I am still looking at #FamilyHistory. The photo today is one I am researching on and off - despite my father’s labelling, it’s a mystery as yet! I’m using #TroveAustralia extensively to track down exactly who in my extended family this might be. Very probably one of the #George girls from #Jerrara but which one!

I was thrilled when funding was announced to keep #TroveAustralia going. Yesterday I was following up a story in my #FamilyHistory about my Great Great Grandmother, Eliza Cooper, who was (rather sensationally) lost in the bush near #Tumut for a week in late December, 1884, with a 6 year old son, and a 6 month old baby, who didn’t survive. I have run into a common curse in #FamilyHistory - an ancestor with a remarkably common name. Fortunately, he gave one of his sons an uncommon family name as a first name, and that son did well for himself, and lived a long life. It’s hard not to get sidetracked in #Trove - so many fascinating side articles to read! One of the sisters married a farmer who became famous for a breed of wheat! #TroveAu #TroveAustralia

Today on #TroveAustralia I’m looking at another side to my #FamilyHistory research, and the #LimeKilns and #LimeFactory one part of my family operated in #Adelaide and #PortLincoln for many years. (Founded in 1870!) Who knew #Lime was such fascinating stuff? Not just in agriculture and gardening, but necessary for building, too.

I have been busy on #Trove again, looking at articles on the #LeylandTrojan. My Dad restored a 1925 #Trojan ute, and it’s the most complicated form of simplicity you’ve ever seen! So today’s photo is my Dad from about 20 years ago, with the scale model he built of his #VintageCar to run on the #ModelRailway at #WaggaWagga. #TroveAustralia #TroveAu #Voluntrove

@Rumpelstiltskin @sister_ratched Yes, I find it perfectly relaxing! You can choose to register or not. Very satisfying to fix those scanned results, and so easy to do most times.
