#MastodonNewbie #TryingToConnect. I don’t yet get the use of HASHTAGS.

So far I know Mastodon DOESN’T use algorithms to spoon feed us suggestions—I LOVE that because we’re less likely to be manipulated.

I’ve learned it’s up to me to seek out accounts that publish content of interest via #hashtags & so far I’ve followed some.

What I’m unsure of is where/how to use hashtags in things I PUBLISH—bio, posts & comments? Or other places?

Ps—I included hashtags in this post—what do you think?
