#Archaeology dataset comparison between the EENSR database (blue) and the Romanian record (yellow) for #Precucuteni and early #Trypillia sites.
The Romanian record includes sites with potential imitations, similarities, or imports in #Boian, #Turdaş, #Petreşti, or #Gumelniţa sites, as well as sites only known from surface collections.

I have an ethical question to the #archaeology folks here.
The plan is to make several #Trypillia site plans available with a creative commons license to replace the ones currently on Wikipedia. So far so good, but I also want to make the geodata accessible for researchers to work with.
Of course I want the sites to be protected from looting (even though they can be seen in google earth etc.).
A point I thought about was keeping the dimensions in the data set, but deleting the coordinates.
