I've moved to suspend #Kazarma (staging.kazar.me) with a #fediblock due to it's "out out" strategy of bridging matrix and activitypub style sites.

Don't get me wrong, I've used relay services for IRC before (ie, janus, discord bots), but that was with full permission and cooperation with other server admins.

Service bridges are not inherently bad, but they can be exploited by bad actors evading silences and bans. I will not chance that with my community here.

The people that attempt to run these types of services need to realize things need to be "opt in" services- not the other way around. Do better.

Due to updated information regarding Byline Social (bylines.social) allowing nazis to run rampant on a "debate" article regarding trans people, that instance is being blocked

The user who authored the article in the first place was previously silenced due the article in the first place, so us as admins were not aware of the lack of moderation going on in that instance
