Last night, I had a lot of fun running #BlazingHymn by #PeachGardenGames for my group. The game runs really fast and allows you to act out all your anime mech pilot dreams.
I talked more about it on my blog:

Last week I put up a blog post about some of my earliest experiences DMing. Part Two to that focuses on my running #Shadowrun for a group based out of my local comic shop when I lived in Michigan. It was my first experience running for a group open to the public.
Includes one of my favorite #TTRPG stories about the time my group said "No not doing that" and I had to improv a whole session

I found a bunch of my old notes on an old hard drive which got me thinking about the games I've run since I started GMing in college.
That was a little over a decade ago, so I figure it's better to split it up into parts based on which group I was with.

Part 1 is based on the experiences I had as a brand new DM with my Seattle group, never running the same system two campaigns in a row.

Looking for advice from other bloggers. My wordpress site has comments enabled because when I was using it to try and get customers to my law firm I wanted as many ways to get engagement as possible.
It's set up to throw comments into a manually approved pile because that business had confidentiality issues.
But it's been all spam all the time, is there really a good reason to leave them open?

As I head into New Year's Eve and look forward to beginning with my #Dungeon23 project in earnest on the first, I wrote down some ideas that I'll be running with. Mostly just to crystallize them in my brain so that the plans have a real shape to them.

I just found out that I can make my WordPress site also work with the Fediverse. My blog, featuring reviews of books and games as well as updates on what my group is playing, can be followed at @alexander_keane
Now I can directly boost posts rather than relying on links.
In preparation for my next game, I typed up a "Previously On Pathfinder" style recap of the game to date.

I really can't wait for the next session.
