Last year, my Swordtember efforts fizzled, but I'm trying it again! Only this time as I will be going beyond just swords-- I'm calling it Weaptember!

You are superpowered enemies. You also have a lot of romantic tension between you. Neither of you knows what to do about it.

My project for this year is out now!

I've finished the draft for this year's One Page RPG Jam submission! I'm doing some editing and layout this week, but you should see the game release next week!

And until then, here's a look at the cover I'm working on!

Getting closer to my “Beta Bones” version of my urban fantasy hack.

What do other designers use for lay outs?

Most TTRPGs are missing a trick when they categorize death differently then they categorize conditions like sleeping or unconscious or encumbered.

Most myths, modern and ancient have characters going fro dead to alive to even visiting the underworld or the afterlife.

For my and Tooters: do you have any advice on where one might promote an adventure (it's free) for download? I'm using and like it. Just wondering if there are any promotional channels apart from the usual?

Sometimes when I'm designing I don't feel that I'm creating something new, I feel like I'm uncovering a truth about the world that's always existed.

Bit weird, but quite fun.

A section for the game master from the TTRPG I'm writing.

Players are fickle and reckless creatures. They do not and should not follow any path you set for them, and they will sidetrack and often find things you didn’t intend to be interacted with.

That is intended by design. This is collaborative storytelling, meaning that you and your players share control of the narrative. Generally you control the world, and they decide their path in that world.

For my that I'm making, I'm considering having custom dice that are used to roll damage AND armor damage reduction. It would be six sided dice:

1: Two swords
2 - 4: One sword
5: One shield
6: Two shields

First, the attacker rolls a number of dice depending on their weapon to see how much damage they do - one HP for each sword.

Then, the defender rolls a number of dice depending on what armor they're using. Each shield results in one point of damage reduction.

I'm thinking about adding a new caster class to my custom system. What would you deem the most interesting choice?

As usual, questions and boosts are most welcome. :)

It's clear that want to push to a digital delivery platform so they can create a walled garden concept and ongoing revenue via in-app transactions. What they fail to grasp is that the role-playing genie escaped the proverbial bottle in 1974: you don't need an app or their walled garden to actually play. Unlike a software game, where you're reliant on the coded game itself to provide the entire experience, the is a natural social interaction that can be enjoyed variously with , coins, pencil, paper, and lots of imagination.
