While I’m quite concerned about creators’ livelihoods re: #dnd #ogl 1.1, one other anxiety I keep hearing is concern for the harm a diaspora from dnd will do for the players looking for games.

One youtuber voiced this concern by saying something like “Imagine walking into your local hobby shop and everyone is playing a different game.”

I can imagine that, and I don’t see it as a bad thing. The #TTRPGG hobby will be more healthy when it is less of a monoculture.

Imagine a ttrpg hobby that’s a little more like the tabletop board gaming hobby. You walk into a game night and… you might just try something new!

(Alternatively, imagine a tabletop hobby where 80% of players have played nothing but Catan for the past 9 years….)

I finally finished the last piece of art for the #DnD adventure. Wrote over 10k words, drew 8 maps, 2 creatures, cover art, filler art, ran 5 playtests, hired a layout person and an amazing designer. I’m so happy I could just go sleep for a week...zzz #TTRPGG

I'm in Cardiff next week for work purposes.
I'll have about an hour to amble around the city centre, near Central Station.

Two questions:
1. What #ttrpgg shops are nearby. I can see Geek Retreat and Rules of Play. Firestorm may be too far.
2. I'll be on a train for about 10 hours in total. What music should I listen to? My frequent play list looks like this:
