Earlier today my daughter asked to play

We had a great time. The game ended with her declaring that she had failed in her mission to save a princess and that the princess had been killed by a bat flying into her face. So her character just went home and went back to bed.

Kids are weird.

If you're a parent, or a cool aunt/uncle, this is a game you should check out for playing with kids.

Amid all the talk about what big companies are doing, I wanted to take a closer look at the smaller, indie RPGs I own, and find some to talk about.

As I wrote about Tea & Crumpets by @camckinney I either had the best or worst timing, as she's mentioned she is working on an update to this game that absolutely nails the theming and tone of what a Magical Girl RPG should be.

I had a silly grin on my face all through reading this game.

So far, my TTRPG Reviews have involved adventures played on game night by my group.

This game hasn't had a chance to hit my table yet, but I've really enjoyed reading it again and again and it's near the top of my "To Play List"

Review: Paris Gondo The Life-Saving Magic of Inventorying by @Rolistespod

My review from a while back of a game I keep returning to again and again for an ice breaker with new groups and something to pull out when there's any excuse or reason to play something different.

Easy to play without prep or familiarity.
This might just be the perfect one shot group game!

Last night, my group played the Paizo Free RPG Adventure "Little Trouble in Big Absalom" and had tons of fun with the kobold hijinks.

I wrote a review detailing our experiences on my website: alexanderkeane.com/2022/12/18/

I love to play Amazing Tales with my daughter, so I decided to write up a review of it because I think the crazy shenanigans it allows are something more of the TTRPG players who are parents should get a chance to try. The review also allowed me to engage in my love for the words "hijinks" and "shenanigans".

Last night I mentioned that I'd played through We Be Heroes with my Pathfinder group.

I wrote up a review of the adventure based on our experiences. Ours weren't great, but I have suggestions for how you might learn from our mistakes.

¿Y cómo salió todo? Por los aires, osea que bien.

ESP

ENG

I found 2D20 as quick and interesting as I felt when reading. Open evocative stats VS classic prescriptive Stats (but for the "Sharp", I don't know the original English name, for attack) leads to a narration focused kind of actions as a less open Style from FATE.

PC are heroes, situations escalate and having a metacurrency gives a lot of Game joy.

I even stole a like percepción check from a friend of mine (cited above) so that you can buy questions.

Still struggling with Stat blocks for NPCs and I made a fixed defense check instead of using the real combat system but then I found my self wanting to roll cause it is funny!

To sum up, I liked a lot and am willing to dig into for a Campaing in The future

It's time for Yet Another Completely Unprofessional Unboxing with a highly anticipated & astonishing arrival, Hyperborea, with special guest and friend, Matt Kraft, as we provide some first impression observations while paging through the first book, Hyperborea Volume One: Player's Manual. 🤘 😊
