Happy Tu BiShvat, everyone! Today we especially remember our #Jewish duty to care for and heal our planet. It's also a time to appreciate the joy and beauty in our natural world. Here's a dogwood tree in stunning full bloom. Loved by pollinators, gorgeous to look at, and native to the eastern US, so you don't have to feel bad about planting them!

Tonight is #TuBiShvat, literally the 15th day of the month of #Shvat. A holiday that is in Jewish tradition called the "New Year of the Trees" - as half of winter has passed, and the trees are starting to grow their leaves and fruits again. Hence the tradition of eating many different fruits (as a child, we often got close to a 100 different kinds of fruits).
#TuBShvat tells us: no, we will regrow. We will be back. We will rise again, and again. Ultimately, we will blossom ๐ธ

This time of year I love to see the buds appearing showing life coming back even in the cold (it was -3ยบC when I woke up this morning).
