Daher sind gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen als Tendenz in den Handlungen der guten Produktionen sichtbar und bedienen somit Sozialkritik.

Bueno, sí, la fecha es un dislate total, pero para mí es el momento en el que disfruto de esta obra a tope: veranito después de selectividad, en el curro solo me quieren para los fines de semana, #DukeNukem3D, el #DanoneFútbol, el #TransportTycoonDeluxe, los #SIMs en casa de un amigo... Y mientras tanto, musiquita.

Mi madre tiene un #casete pirata de este disco rulando por ahí, le doy una oportunidad más allá del típico momento #Exorcista y no puedo estar más satisfecho. Es una obra maestra total, sobre todo si te retrotraes 25 años (50 ya, ¡ay!) y piensas que nadie hacía cosas así.

Después vendrían los "regalos a mi madre" en forma de reediciones de sus discos en CD bajo la discográfica #Disky, ahora que Mike había recuperado los derechos de varios de sus #LPs, tras unos años batallando con la #Virgin, que le había dado la oportunidad pero ahora le daba la espalda en favor de artistas más actuales. De todos ellos, mi favorito sería #Crises, pero eso es otra historia.

No es un disco fácil, pero incluso le resulta original a quienes se resisten.

Ese mismo año de 1998 me compré la edición del 25 aniversario, en formato librillo con fotos y datos interesantes, pero ni en esta ni en el vinilo que ahora veis sale la de #DontGiveUp, de #PeterGabriel, que salía al final del casete para aprovechar el trozo de cara B sobrante. Es que era otro mundo.

Esta copia la he conseguido por 6 eurillos, aunque tiene algunos defectos que me molestan, pero ya llegará el momento de comprar algo realmente superior. Acaba de salir el doble LP remasterizado, pero no estoy por la labor de pagar los 46 € que vale. Ni la mitad, siquiera.

I love so very much the discreet magnificence of the barely audible tolling of tubular bells,

And yet they create a magical connection between the notes played by the piano and the double bass

Truly a lovely Instrument.

Ich habe mir gestern Abend diese wunderbare #Live Performance von #MikeOldfields #TubularBells anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums des Werks angesehen. Gespielt vom „Opus One" Orchester, das damit auch in Konzerthäusern auftritt.

Nerdalert: Die Performance wurde in einem Teilchenbeschleuniger, dem ALBA Synchrotron bei Barcelona, aufgenommen.
