@makesubarugayagain everyone’s complaining about BMW, but having seen both multiple times now, these are the ugliest grilles on any vehicle out there, including the #Tundra the #RAV4 and almost every other #Toyota.

These stand out in a bad way, but for me personally, the #BMWiX and #BMWi4 actually stand out in a good way. They differentiate themselves without being offensive, but it’s JMO.

Saw my first #BMWXM too, and didn’t dislike that either. 🤷‍♂️

If you've ever wondered what the Alaskan oil pipeline looks like, this was taken up near the Arctic Circle in AK in 2016.

I have thoughts on the pipeline, but I'll just say I like the vanishing point.

Spent a few hours at the @AustinAutoShow. Missed Having @Honda and @gm present, but @toyota, @Stellantis , et al were glad of the sales leads I'm sure.

Big thoughts:
- #Tundra remains really far behind the #F150. Interiors aren't comparable at all.
- Nobody cares about the #GrandHighlander. Big Sienna-shaped blob still.
- Camry still shockingly good
- RAV4: Same
- Kia eating everyone's lunch. Amazing design, tech, interiors.
- Stellantis....really going on fumes.

"Al Gore warns it would be ‘recklessly irresponsible’ to allow #Alaska #oil drilling plan - #Gore has warned it would be “recklessly irresponsible” to allow an enormous, controversial oil drilling project to proceed in #Alaska, speaking ahead of a decision from the #Biden administration on whether to approve it. Gore spoke amid growing alarm among Democrats and campaigners that the Willow development will drastically undermine the US’s effort to confront the climate crisis.

The vast, multi-billion-dollar #ConocoPhillips oil project, to be situated on the #tundra of Alaska’s northern #Arctic coast, is awaiting approval from the federal government that could arrive as soon as Friday. Gore, the former US vice-president and leading climate advocate, told the Guardian that the planned drilling would threaten local communities as well as the task of curbing dangerous global heating.

“The proposed expansion of oil and gas drilling in Alaska is recklessly irresponsible,” Gore said. “The pollution it would generate will not only put Alaska native and other local communities at risk, it is incompatible with the ambition we need to achieve a net zero future.

“We don’t need to prop up the fossil fuel industry with new, multi-year projects that are a recipe for climate chaos,” Gore added. “Instead, we must end the expansion of oil, gas and coal and embrace the abundant climate solutions at our fingertips.”
