Another queer music icon that I really started to appreciate this year is Amanda Lear. The story is fantastic. Is #TunesTuesday a thing?

One of my favourite things is comedy in music. Big fan of #WeirdAl.

A bunch of years ago I first heard Four Chords by Axis of Awesome and knew I'd found an awesome new (to me) band that fit the niche of music I love.

They have some absolute bangers like:

• The Glorious Epic -- (Note: Since this song was created the lead singer Jordan has transitioned so I'm abbreviating the title)
• Rage of Thrones

Some really funny observational comedy:

• How to Write a Love Song

While l like a lot of their tunes (several are in my typical rotation), I think the absolute best was the song they performed just after the lead singer Jordan transitioned, titled The Elephant in the Room.

I encourage you to go listen to the rest of the #AxisOfAwesome catalog, they have something for everyone, including good life advice like Cut Your Pizzas into Twelve.

The band has since dissolved, which sucks because I missed my opportunity to see them live.
