The Tunguska event was the biggest asteroid impact in recorded history, but it left no crater or debris. This is because the asteroid exploded in the air with the force of 185 Hiroshima bombs, and vaporized before hitting the ground. The explosion flattened 80 million trees over an area of 830 square miles but caused no human casualties.

A "super bolide" ☄️ exploded 💥 over Russia in 2013, injuring 1,500 people and damaging hundreds of buildings. It may not be a once-in-a-century event as previously thought. cnet.com/science/space/its-bee

Come on, astronomers, other scientists, it’s your big chance ! Explain why a small (1 m) asteroid is not a meteor. Why it’s not a danger, exploding over a populated area (northern France). But another small asteroid devastated . How much bigger was it? Or ? Don’t leave this to YouTube videos, tell us the whole story! We want to know. Educate us.
