We are much more ignorant now than #turfgrass scientists were 100 years ago because we are much more aware of how little we know.

The hypocrisy with some in the #turfgrass industry is astonishing. We state that applied K has little to no benefit on turf grown in K-sufficient #soils and they ask for studies. Meanwhile, the salesman makes numerous claims without evidence and there is no such request.

We must assume a neutral position on all claims until evidence is presented. By doing so, we engage in critical thinking and healthy skepticism. These principles are at the foundation of the science that built turf BMPs.

You either have evidence, or you do not. If you do not (which you acknowledge @asianturfgrass), you cannot appeal to ‘common sense’ to form a conclusion. Alleged certainty is logically fallacious and coming from a scientist is potentially dangerous.
