Mushroom soup (à la Julia Child): a lovely way to start; fiancée says soup in vol. 2 is much easier

Turkey: solid, perhaps ever so slightly over

Gravy: stock from veggie scraps and giblets; I should have used drippings from turkey too

Cranberry chutney: Ma does something different every year; this was a keeper
