Been down rabbit hole of prototyping different approachs to FOV for my game. Knowing unit FOV rather than just LOS is a requirement for a mechanic which also means making it feel good/initiative to the player is important. All a lot easier said than done especially in 3D.

Have landed back on my initial sphere cast approach, which feels good enough to me so far. It's even performat enough that I sadly don't have an excuse to play with raycast commands!
