I have been using the Turris Omnia router for two weeks now and I am very pleased with it.

#Gnome 44 finally supports #WireGuard in it's GUI. 🎉
Today I easilly configured it on
:openwrt: my #Turris router with #OpenWRT,
:gnome: Linux laptops with Gnome
:android: my phone with #Android. Everything works perfectly on all devices out of box. I like the configuration being so straightforward. Next I will try it on my girlfriend's Windows laptop, and if it will work as smoothly I will ditch the old #OpenVPN for connecting to my home network.

Asi víte, že má #Turris honeypot pro monitoring internetové havěti. Víte ale, že si ho můžete rozjet i sami? Už roky takhle monitoruji útoky na moji veřejnou IP.

I added my new computer which is truly amazing: for less than 1000€ I got a powerful and absolutely silent workhorse for personal office and 24/7 home server tasks.

Another update: #Turris WiFi router which is somewhat better than plain OpenWRT alone when it comes to initial setup. However, its own web-UI is buggy but it offers #LuCI as well.

Hier ein paar Messwerte. Direkt per Gbit-Ethernet am #Turris Omnia (unter #OpenWrt) -> Technicolor #TC4400-EU.

Der Turris ist auf moderates #QoS konfiguriert.

Die Bufferbloat-Werte und das Verhalten von Datenströmen unter Last ist signifikant besser als bisher mit der gammligen #Vodafone Station (das Leihgerät). Krass. Hätt ich in der Deutlichkeit nicht erwartet.

Das hat sich richtig gelohnt.

Ich überlege derzeit meinen #Turris #omnia (2020) Open Source Router zu verkaufen, da ich auf absehbare Zeit keine Verwendung dafür habe.

Gibt es denn hier Interessenten? Eine 60 oder 80 GB SSD ist auch verbaut, sodass man den ein oder anderen LXC Container darauf ausführen kann, zum Beispiel für ein Pihole.

Auch ein 19" Rack Kit hätte ich dazu im Angebot.

Wäre schade, wenn das Ding nur herumsteht.

...und das Sahnehäubchen: Der M910q passt perfekt unter den #Turris Omnia. :-)

Syncthing goes well with Turris Omnia. Love how you can choose the direction of syncing for each machine.

@kellyn Perfect! The only Chrome extension I install from time to time is Secure Shell (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/secure-shell/iodihamcpbpeioajjeobimgagajmlibd). I use it to mount a harddrive from #Turris #Omnia used in a #MiniDLNA server to add missing subtitles to movies etc.
