@megalodon The latest pre-release #megalodon version is otherwise working great, but in the mornings, when I haven't been checking for like 8 hours, I get a big, non-recoverable hole in the timeline. Same problem in #tusky when reading from oldest to newest.
If I use the web interface I can see loads of posts that never appear in the app. Is this a problem with the Mastodon api, not being able to fetch old posts before new or something?
But somehow #fedilab manages to get all the posts.

Okay so the whole #tusky drama did actually end in a fork named Pachli [1]

Interesting that as far as I can see only the COPYRIGHT.txt [2] mentions that they are based on a lot of work Tusk contributors have done. Which from a legal point might be okay, but ethically it feels quite wrong to me...

After a few days however #tusky is still the most reliable app, quick and smooth🦣🦣

I've tried #Tusky and #Fedilab, where the latter is a clear winner, it has so many useful functions and features and it's being actively developed (updates almost every week).

@schrismartin one of the things I like about Mastodon is that the number of boosts and/or likes is pretty irrelevant to the loint where my client #tusky let's me hide them.
Interesting to find out that they are also fundamentally flawed and in an impossible to fix way.
Hopefully their irrelevance will continue.

@JohnConstableRA I have an #Android phone, and I never used the generic Mastodon app but started directly with one of the alternatives (currently #Tusky, thinking about a switch to #fedilab)

From what I understand is that many #iPhone users have also switched to one of the other apps (basically to anything but #Mastodon), like #IceCubes, #Toot, #Mammoth, #Mona or #Ivory. Some are free, others paid. You could check the posts from @feditips.

@tagesschau #tusky app has a problem and needs an update. I had a huge trouble correcting the toot above. Deleating text was not possible and resulted into some kind of Reset ... @Tusky
