Did you know you can see the text of the toot you are replying to by hitting the down arrow beside the name of the author?

I didn't! 😲

Unfortunately (at least to me) the text is non-selectable as it would be a nice way to copy hashtags from one toot to another for continuity. There's more than likely a good reason, possibly it may enable an undesirable facilitation of 'quoting'.

Still a big time saver anyway!

How do you add emoji in #Tusky?
There is a button for custom emoji below the text input, but I cannot find the standard Unicode emoji drawer =(

Efficiency tip:

Don't bother to copy and paste, just hit Translate (in this case, others may be Web Search or just Search).

Translate does that but also a search on the word itself and some search based on translation into the default language.

But it's still just a search, just tailored somewhat.

Hey, know what?

In #Tusky you can select individual words within a toot. It just has to be the focus/primary toot.

No more being forced to copy the whole thing and edit it in your browser address bar to get the words you wanted to actually search. 👍

DO NOT ENABLE the hide title banner in the preference. You basically lock yourself out of your settings and can only live on the timelines. Had to clear storage on the app and re-login.

Is that the one thing I will re-install the Mastodon app for Android?

#TuskyTip Vu que les notifs #Tusky ne fonctionnent pas encore, lorsque je suis chez moi, je laisse #Mastodon ouvert sur mon ordi qui lui sonne en cas de notif et je peux checker depuis mon téléphone. C'est une solution provisoire mais bon
