nice little device with very clicky keys, great housing but way to little battery
power for a #RaspberryPi Compute Module and not so great wifi. You can get about 3
hours battery life with wifi on.
so all in all a real (bulky) replacement for my old zaurus ;)

As a #myopic person and #tut user, I have to thank all the #people at Mastodon who use alt text in toots. That's the only way I know what some posts are about. By the way, tut is really cool!

Estoy usando mastodon desde una herramienta de linea de texto llamada #tut (probándola desde #Archlinux). Algo que me gusta de usar internet desde texto (lo hago también con #w3m), es que alejar los estímulos que distraen la atención en lo esencial, se maneja con algunos atajos (heredados del editor de texto de culto #vim). Solo mirar las letras y palabras de un otr@ usuario del otro lado me hace sentirlos más cerca, sin el adorno, ni los filtros ni los espejismos.

Checking out TUI based #tut client for Mastodon today. So far I'm really enjoying it. I can't figure out how to get it to load my config from $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/tut on my Macbook Pro. I have the environment variable set (checked with echo $XDG_CONFIG_HOME) and don't have config files in any other directory it would search in first. Anyone have any ideas?

In addition to testing out #Voidlinux again, I’m now also trying to become almost exclusively terminal based within my WM. So #Aerc for mail, #Tut for Mastodon, #Ranger as a FM, Neovim as a ‘DE-texteditor ‘ (so a .local/share/applications shortcut). Currently using #qutebrowser and #spotify as only exceptions and #Thunar as a fallback FM. It takes a little getting used to, although only fulltime ranger and neovim instead of neovim-qt are the only changes from my daily. But I like it!

@panmaster when i'm using the phone in portrait style, i use the on screen keyboard. when i use convergence mode i just use a physical keyboard like any other computer. it's the same deal as other console apps like #tut or #gomuks

There's another I'm going to investigate too. With looking at #aerc for my TUI email client I'm wondering if I can insert emoji into emails and display emojis in that are already in received emails ?
The same would I suppose apply to me trialling #Tut for my Mastodon client can I use emojis there too ?

I love the Houston Museum of Natural History, and often include things I see and learn there in my creative work. And now it's almost complete: added #tut to my Pi4 running #FreeBSD. Web view worked alright too (it has a processor buff enough for it) but now this shall slim down on the memory side to make it snappier.

Now wonder if I can record voice and screencast stuff. And maybe then it'd be time for a new #podcast episode showcasing stuff!
